I think the answer to your question as to why lithium stocks have tanked a month after the price of lithium carbonate already hit lows in December, is that the lithium spodumene price has continued to fall even more. Carbonate is down less than 2% so far in 2024, while spodumene is nearly 30% lower. (See lithium price bot post above)
