Gee they look slick ... shame they degrade 2.6% per year. (check this guys experiment out here)
This is the gauntlet thrown down for AVL and other VRFB companies to answer. Can they reduce size, while also increasing charge and storage capacity?
An article shared recently indicates it can be done:

Fast forward 15 years time as consumers are replacing their 2nd battery system in under 15 years ... they'll be frothing for a VRFB that will be of similar size, cost, efficiency ... but guaranteed to last 2 or 3 times longer.
