That's just my view. Patents don't last forever and a partner will want to make sure they have plenty of years remaining (although there are steps that can be taken to extend patent life, especially when it comes to medical devices). Also by the end of this year would be, in my view, the longest it should take for a deal like this to be negotiated. So that's why I suspect the 2RT deal will come this year. Next steps if it doesn't come this year, well if they keep at the negotiations then I see no reason to suspect they aren't still confident they'll get it.Otherwise yeah they could potentially sell it and pay out a nice dividend to shareholders.

Who knows though! Track Advance is clearly the main show at the moment so whatever happens with 2RT will be a massive bonus but is certainly not crucial to getting the share price in the dollars
