The fundamental basics of reliable power infrastructure DEMAND on demand power generation - coal, gas, "biomass" (timber, garbage, etc), nuclear fission, hydro electric, geothermal etc.
The exact technology you use depends on the available resources - but solar and wind are simply atrocious for reliability.
This is why "green hydrogen" is a complete lie, a white elephant, an excuse for politicians to hand out billions (your money) to their friends in industry.
