Countless billions of dollars will evaporate. No one will produce below production costs or produce at no profit. The closures and layoffs have already started, and this will be exacerbated. China may be the only winner in this scenario but who wants to buy Chinese cars? One good thing about this is when everyone shuts down then the price will skyrocket again. This boom bust cycle is not sustainable and the answer is for the battery companies to own the mines so they can regulate production and profits. I see M and A throughout 24 especially when the mines will be on C and M.
