Unfortunately and counterintuitively in a general market crash like the GFC the opposite thing to gold ie the US dollar performs best, because everything is sold off in the flight to liquidity / cash and that means USD is bought. good buying shortly afterwards though.
the crash that everyone was expecting looks less likely now. the music will keep playing. gold and gold stocks are looking good to me for 4-5 months because interest rates will come down and the party continues for now
