The amount of bauxite required to produce a ton of alumina varies depending on it's composition. Alumina normally trades at a 12 to14 percent margin of the aluminum price. You will struggle to find a price for bauxite as this forms part of a chain of supply and normally contract arrangements are already in place for benification. This amount varies, again based on composition. The good thing about Ords bauxite is that the reactive silica is below 3 percent.
