    Certainly excess liquidity in the system - but it is interesting as you'd probably think a devaluation of the dollar would mean a flight from US denominated assets. Have you seen a 2 yearly chart of the DOW lately? Actually looking quite good - clearly you are a gold investor - and a good DOW and a devaluating dollar plus inflation (which admittedly will drag the DOW down eventually) is excellent for gold. In the end I think the main influence on gold will be inflation - once the US starts exporting its inflation (which is gonna happen) round the world, then I think we will see some rather dramatic upwards movements in the price of gold.

    The under reporting of US inflation is really keeping a lid on things at the moment, but really there is only so long you can sit on it in that fashion.

    I'll go and have a look at the article now, and see if they've covered any of this in there.
