Only time will tell if it is a really smart move by Precision. However, I am of the belief that Precision will have experts looking into what IMU has and comes to the conclusion that this is a smart move. Otherwise, why do it this way with IMU when there are quite a few other suitors for them to choose from! Bottom line is they will know and understand more than us mere mortals.
So the 'brains' of Precision has spoken. And as someone very smart here (@davybabyk) has said, 'Follow the brain', we would be really smart to do likewise
