Qantas has been enabled to cut the standard of maintenance and so caused numerous problems with their planes.

sure no major jets are falling from the sky. but that isn't the point..... they've had quite a lot of close calls since then.

but the real problem was removing civil small craft from the traffic controllers oversight and de-regulation of pilots.
