I don't think ......enabled to cut the standard of maintenance is right is it? Have the Australian standards of maintenance been slashed or is it that Qantas is allowed to get maintenance work done overseas? Or do you mean something else?

Can you explain a bit more about your last sentence not sure i get what your saying, i don't fly on small civil craft as they are too dangerous for me they're forever falling out the sky, not just in Oz either, so don't know much about it but they must talk to some sort of traffic control when landing and taking off, they wouldn't be allowed to just quietly land at Gold Coast airport with no one knowing i don't think.

And whats this de-regulation of pilots mean? Surely they still need a licence and lots of hours of flying under their belt before they let loose on a commerical airline don't they?
