since then, the SP has been in steady decline, and the slide is accelerating. We closed Friday at 11c, down about one third from the start of the year.

these sort of falls suggest KAU faces some fundamental problems at A1.

A case could be made that the company took too long in bringing on the gun underground miner and part time executive director Brad Valiukas, but key appointments such as his don't necessarily happen overnight.

a lot is now riding on his professionalism and experience. And it would be great to see some progress this quarter. We're not far off half way through the March quarter and it would be good to get an operations update in the next couple of weeks.

if this quarter isn't make or break, in the absence of another CR, the June quarter certainly will be.

i'm not in a position to comment on geology and mine planning etc. perhaps someone else could.

just to return to that halving of the SP over the past eight months, slides like this very often include an exit out the back door, but we're not at that point, yet.

looks to me like there's plenty of gold in them there hills, but there's no guarantees we won't all do our dough trying to get it out.
