I'm sure he did. Much as I dislike Albanese, if negative gearing was abolished, landlords would be running for the exits.
Adding to the already extreme shortage of rentals.
I cannot understand the dislike of negative gearing, to me it is a tax deduction against losses incurred in running any business.
Or borrowing money to buy shares eg
Many landlords have been forced to sell up during the last year due to being unable to service higher interests.
