Thats not correct, the killing and beating of women by husbands in Islamic countries is far greater than in Western countries. In fact one in three women are beaten by husbands in Muslim countries.

The indifference to this type of violence stems from attitudes that domestic violence is a private matter and, usually, a justifiable response to misbehaviour on the part of the wife. "
