I posted this a while ago on another thread. I believe it holds true and partly explains the current market environment we are witnessing.
OUR REVOLUTION
Not unlike the Industrial Revolution, the Green Revolution is another capitalist revolution which may take decades to make a full and meaningful transition. Probably not 80 years, as in the case of the former.
It is not solely a lithium revolution. It is not solely a uranium revolution. The Green Revolution is all encompassing and diversification is the key. Different technologies for different purposes. Just as we have previously had motor vehicles, planes, trains, trams and boats powered by many different grades of petroleum, gas, steam, electricity — and various different appliances running on natural gas, bottled gas and electricity — so too will our future energy needs be diversified. Each new green technology optimised for where it is best suited. Lithium for weight sensitive applications. Vanadium for grid scale robustness and reliability. Uranium, hydrogen, geothermal and hydro to compliment and support these large and modular power networks. Rare earths for electromagnetic propulsion. And perhaps one day nuclear fusion to power industry.
In this new green future there will always be a need for lithium, there will always be a need for uranium; as there will for hydrogen, vanadium, cobalt, copper, graphite, rare earths and any other element or combination of elements and technologies that may be more suitable, effective or efficient or simply offer different “price points” down the line for consumer markets.
Keep in mind: Each technology has unique and specific advantages and capital markets always need lots of different things to sell. Naturally all technologies will evolve in succession. So there will be a constant need and push for new and improved products: More efficient / powerful / safer storage; development of new chemistries; etc. All the possibilities are presently, simply unknown. As this monumental paradigm shift takes place the big hitters and power brokers of the capitalist realm must reassert their financial dominance by redefining their capacity to control the markets of the world.We are seeing these controlling forces at play. Dissemination of misinformation and prolific market manipulation transparent for all to see. Their reach is far and wide. And they are all fighting for their chunk of the new pie. At the moment we see a race to the bottom. Everyone trying to stake their claim at ground level.
This is not a clandestine conspiracy. We are witnessing the early machinations of the next capitalist revolution: the Green Revolution. Our revolution. Stand your ground. Stay strong. Remain calm, yet vigilant. Because history is being made right before our eyes. The future is now.
