I suspect MP re-start was a US government propped response to Chinese monopoly, viable in good times whilst prices were high . With the Chinese squeeze, its obvious that its short-falls need to be supplemented by Lyc IP and management skills.
Amanda knows this and is doing what Wesfarmers tried to do, but Amanda style. MP is on its knees. Good time to approach to access the front door into the future multi-billion business.
