Let the buyer beware has always been the rule with used car sales of any type, so it's no different now. A Roadworthy Certificate is still required for the sale of an EV as well as ICE vehicles, so any battery issues would be provided to potential buyers to consider, even those foolish and well-heeled enough to choose very expensive European models rather than the more practical models.
