This does not appear to me to be like a legal dispute in Aust where settlement avoids the uncertainty of outcome and, more particularly, the incurring of a ridiculous amt of legal fees in respect of something of indeterminate duration.
Given the wording of this decision, and the monthly interest charge prevailing, I hope/suspect Bronwyn is right and if Tanzania has half a brain, it will discontinue & pay up. As someone said, maybe stop the interest clock at some point to allow some face saving BUT cannot see any basis for a material "discount".
