Hi rooey, I raised this concern with WDS investor relations in July last year and the response was "With regard to global and local rig markets, our drilling and supply teams stay abreast of the rig markets and work with vendors to understand lead times and optimise rig contracting across our portfolio."
Unless they arranged another rig some months ago, the only way drilling will occur in 2024 imo is if they secure Deepsea Bollsta which finishes with Shell in June. As I posted the other day, the odfjell drilling website still shows the rig available from that time. We will have to wait and see, but I certainly am encouraged by Tom Alweendo's (Minister of MME) statement regarding Woodside's "upcoming drilling campaign".
