Well, no, I didn't mean it as a grammatical difference.
The definition of risk (in risk management standards) is, essentially, the product of a probability of an event occurring and the adverse impact if it does. People (if they are aware of the risk, naturally) who choose to accept the risk generally do so because of a potential benefit of doing so. People don't want risk. They want benefits, so they accept risks.
