Call me old fashioned if you want but to my mind anyone charged by police in Australia with armed robbery and then promptly committed to trial should never be allowed bail. One year gap between charging and committal is not promptly.
If the judicial system is completely broken and corrupted by thousands of overpaid, underworked, woke, lazy, public servants then the QLD gov't of the day must respond with judicial reforms and legislation.
