we don't know the grand sum of influences they've had but they've grown up in that culture.

I don't say this to justify violence or this particular incident. but we don't know the effects on individuals either.

Everyone chooses their own destiny whether you were bought up rough or not.

Anyone that thrusts a knife into someone knows exactly what they are doing, and when you get to 16 you know right from wrong.
