Sarah Ferguson is a very rude and disrespectful journalist, when it suits her. She gets far too combative as well....when it suits her. I didn't feel as though Peter Dutton was a thug (though he certainly presented poorly trying to evade "Labor" questions), but 'thuggish' is certainly a word I would ascribe to Sarah Ferguson's journalistic style.
Leigh Sales was aggressive, but had a line she didn't like to cross. The current host is a poor journalist who doesn't get told often enough how to improve her performance. Either that or she just doesn't listen, some of her interviews have been a disgrace. Consequently, the show has deteriorated to the dog's breakfast it is now.
