It's a huge resource. And yes, fraccing combined with water inflows were the death of the project.
But the technical expertise (Keenihan and co) wasn't exactly "cutting edge" either.
Further, great progress has been made in understanding the geology of the Perth Basin in recent years by the likes of Strike, Beach, MIN.
I'm sure their geologists can look at the vast amount of data produced by the Warro wells (and funded by Alcoa) and assess whether there is a path forward.
I was calling for this pivot for a couple of years, now.
