first Aussies are generally the most abused and neglected cohort of our community. we have international condemnation for our serial neglect of these people. Aboriginal people are symbolic to the rest of the world, to us they are a measure of how dysfunctional and ineffectual has been our series of govts. (Lab and Lib).
if you can't see this, and the importance of helping Aboriginal people out of the hole in the ground that many are living in, it can likely be because you are disinclined to see beyond your own interests.
