Well actually I agree with the majority of your post.
However I don't believe this will ever get mined.
Everything they are hunting lately is over half a km deep into the earth (!!)
The discoveries are spread out in small pockets. Makes stripping that more difficult and expensive.
It's refractory.
The deeps are flooded.
No I don't see it happening.
