For those who missed it, the president of Zimbabwe has been in the Middle East attending the World Government Summit (see below for his main address). This follows on from the World Economic Forum in Davos, so his attendance here is worth noting.
To fuel his plans for further development of their economy, energy security remains critical. None of the current proposed technologies are anywhere near to fully-replacing existing sources, and everyone knows it. Though not mentioning gas directly in this speech, he does make reference to the criticality of energy security and other infrastructure development. Gas is the logical (and cleanest) method of picking up any shortfalls in the near to medium term (arguably longer-term also).
As far as IVZ goes, it is clearly being manipulated which should come as no surprise to anyone. Standard practice on the ASX, unfortunately.
