Well BRN aren't quite so high these days (although on the rise again just lately), but in answer to your question: it is simply because they are more sexy. They also soared far above WBT until the last year or so.
It's a bit like comparing big cats to bacteria and archaea, or catwalk models to garment workers and shop assistants. Who are the most important in the ecosystem/economy? but who gets all the attention?
All IMO.
