De Grey released its DFS just a few months ago and i noticed its projected ASIC is AUD $1295. Notes: Spot gold price at the time of study = $2950 which is AUD, it cannot be USD.
I also noticed that the 2 companies's gold resource grade are very similar (BAU's resource is of slightly higher grade) and BAU's resource is all within shallow depth of less than 100m.
I also expect ASIC for a Malaysian gold project is roughly 20% cheaper than a similar project in Australia.
So, i guess you can do 2 calculations based on ASIC of AUD $1000/oz and AUD $1295/oz if you want.
I am happy to go with AUD $1295 ASIC to be safe. Keep in mind it is AUD, not USD.
