Since when was a knife dangerous?
It simply sits in a kitchen drawer behaving itself.
Anyone one, child included, can take it out of the drawer and use it as a kitchen implement.
It is only when used as a weapon that it becomes dangerous as does many items in a household, shovels, spades, sissors, baseball bats etc.
Then it becomes dangerous.
What's next, ban the sale of sissors?
Steven Miles has to think beyond this sale of knives ban as being the panacea to youth crime.
