The CBA result painted a different picture on negative equity. While most credit quality metrics looked good I was confused by an increase in loans in negative equity.
Balances in negative equity doubled in a year from 0.5% to 1.1%. This looks very strange in a time that property prices went up during the year.. Maybe there was some commentary that explains this but I thought this would only happen when property prices are decreasing.
