@Parsifal; you've chosen to target my posts with extreme commentary. It should come as no surprise when I don't pull my punches and call out what I see as the threads running through your own Netanyahu-soft comments.
Re your post which included "...
so tell mewhat do you think Israel should have done after the Hamas attacks. ...".
1. The 'Palestinian situation' has been festering ever since the end of WW2 and wherein the creation by the UK and the USA of the state of Israel by displacing Palestinians from their territories did NOT deliver the promised 'two state solution' - that's a root cause of what's gone wrong ever since and it remains unresolved despite hollow, insincere 'noises' from countries including the USA, the UK and Australia.
2. Netanyahu's US backed regime has been more than a little bit corrupt / viral for more than a decade. Yet Israelis have allowed Netanyahu's regime rogue regime to continue as their 'government'. The US should therefore NOT be resourcing Israel's 'corrupt defence' - that's another root cause of what's wrong.
3. The Hamas attack should never have been allowed to happen. The gross irresponsibility and complete incompetence of Netanyahu's rogue regime enabled it - perhaps even deliberately as alleged by some Israelis themselves. That's a third root cause of the current situation.
4. Hamas represents the evil side of religion - yet another root cause of what's wrong and not only in the Palestinian Territories. Relative to nine million Israelis and a US resourced economy / military they're as significant as fleas on an elephant's back - Netanyahu's rogue regime has breathed life into Hamas via more than a decade of state-actioned atrocities and theft of property against Palestinians.
5. Responsible Israelis should have removed Netanyahu's administration - politicians, bureaucrats and judges - they've failed decent Israelis by not doing so.
6. Following the sickening attack on vulnerable Israeli civilians by Hamas and others on October 7th, Netanyahu's rogue regime should have honoured the internationally agreed '
rules of engagement' - these include ensuring there are are no war crimes, that civilians are not targeted and that vulnerable people including the 22,000 kids already slaughtered are cared for. The IDF should have tackled Hamas on the ground without resort to missiles, tanks and bunker-busting bombs.
7. At no point should Netanyahu's genocidal regime have deployed US supplied bunker-busting bombs in heavily populated parts of Gaza - we've still no idea as to how many more civilians are dead under the rubble as Gaza has been bombed back to the Stone Age using US military resources.
8. Netanyahu's ethnic-cleansing regime has never been given the nod by '
the international community' to reduce Palestinians' homes, hospitals, schools and mosques to rubble; let alone to loot what's left behind after civilians were displaced - Israel must now hold its IDF personnel fully to account for their war crimes ahead of such being pursued at the Hague.
9. Decent Israelis must replace Netanyahu's rogue genocidal regime with one that respects international law and human rights.
10. Israel and the USA now have to fork out the 'reparations' owed Palestinian civilians for the annihilation of their homes, hospitals, medical centres, schools, mosques, public infrastructure and for the PTSD inflected on so many young Palestinians,
Cheers!
