If it were economically viable with a commercial return and terminal value it should be built by free enterprise.
Its a con.
Of course it is. We under-estimate how much the free-enterprise has already delivered, and that's with a backdrop of a monopoly-owned infrastructure, where Telstra has purposely slowed development to protect their landline revenue.
I had a look at what limited figures were avaialble for economic viability and the take up rate assumptions were simply ridiculous. It's not viable and no private enterprise will buy it without substantial subsidies.
