This is the kind of thing that usually happens.
The explorers do the hard work over a long period of time. Sweat it out and everyone ignores it.
Then sometime later when commodity price is encouraging it's an overnight success.

The phenomenon is not limited to stocks either. It often happens with performers. yesterday, I was looking at the back story of 'The COORS', which serves as an example. That's why behavioral economics has a place in investment. probably more predictive than exploration itself for our purposes ( but contrarian investing will do). A bigger company like IGO make sit a safer haven.
