Because they use the real data, that 30% of users have discontinued, so many people are in a flap.
And, how many stop losses have been hit today. There might be some upset people when they get home tongiht.
But, the data doesn't confirm, the number of new patients coming on, just discontinued.
Also, the data doesn't suggest that there is an issue with the drug.
It suggests that different people will have different tolerability, be indifferent to it, or simply not tolerate it.
This is the same as with any drug.
That is, we all cannot take the same medication for the same thing, which is why there are alternates available on he market for many conditions, just not this one.
Penicillin is one drug, which was a game changer, but not everyone can take penicillin, so there are alternates now available.
Why should this drug be any different?
There will be parents who cannot afford to continue. Haven't paid their medical insurance. Lost their job due to the "excellent" conditions in US at the moment. Didn't see a difference, as the drug is new and there is still work to be done.
The doctors may need to report to the insurance companies paying the bills, and the insurance companies trying to save money. We don't know.
But, there are a lot of conditions which could lead to the discontinuation, which do not mean that the drug does not work, as the numbers say that 70% of patients are continuing the treatment. So that might mean that 70% tolerate it, and are improving because of it.
We should all be well aware of the working case study that was documented online here, which if it is all true, would not be the only one.
It could simply be likely someone shorted, realised some good information was coming, and wanted out before it came. Timing of this is most interesting.
You can all do whatever pleases you, however, if you are long, and expect the price to recover and increase, what's the difference today or tommorow. If you see this as an opportunity, eyes open, pick your price. If you are scared, eyes open, pick your price. Not much else you can do.
