yes I remember it very well. that was the first iteration of the virus, we are very lucky that one didn't land on our shores.
viruses mutate with each individual they infect. they take a little bit of our DNA when they spread to others. a virus needs to be able to spread quickly, thats its survival plan, so each new variant is progressively different. any virus that wants to keep reproducing will therefore become weaker in causing illness due to that ongoing human DNA. this ensures it can infect more people.
I'm not a virologist but I've studied virology and had many patients with viral infections. so should you want to reject what I write, do some research first and prove me wrong.
