Correction. Navalny was never a real politician.
More like a blogger. A populist type of figure.
His whole ideology was based around the "Putin be gone" narrative.
The narrative he was pushing is that if Putin is displaced, everything will be ok. As soon as Putin is gone - all of Russia's internal/external problems will get solved automatically. He had ZERO plans as far as domestic/international policies go. He had ZERO plans to fix/develop the Russian economy.
I've watched a couple of interview with Navalny, as well his closest "aide" - Maria Pevchikh. When asked, what their plans were once Putin is displaced, basically what they said is "Well, when Putin is gone, corruption will disappear and everything will fix itself"....
Seems like childish logic to me.
