• More expensive to purchase
• More expensive to repair
• More accident prone
• Catastrophic depreciation
• Woeful residual value
• Nobody wants to hire them <<<
I was picking up a Sixt rental at Melbourne airport last week.
Anyone who didn't have an advanced booking had the choice of an EV, or going next door to another rental company.
In other words, anyone with half a brain had pre-booked a regular ICE vehicle.
The ignorant tree hugger early adopters have already bought their EV, so the market is thinning.
Major auto makers have been putting the brakes on EV production because consumers realise that EVs are a disaster, and will not save the planet... just like the Elon evangelists were preaching.
