In keeping with the thread, so the demand is to address climate change, eh? .... You mean, like the Canada is doing, by producing and exporting fossil fuels in record quantities, while at the same time passing laws that decree no one is allowed to say positive things about the stuff Canada is exporting in record quantities.

As I said, it's political theater and you are sitting and applauding, all agog and starry-eyes, in the front row seats.

In closing, I just finished reading the biography of Abraham Lincoln.
He had a pretty perceptive head on his shoulders, observing that,

"We live in the midst of of alarms; anxiety beclouds the future; we expect some new disaster with each newspaper we read" - Attrib. Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865)

Evidently, a pretty apposite take in the early 21st Century, just as it was in the 19th Century.

Waffler, you should write one of your tomes about how Abe Lincoln debunked the science of AGW more than 150 years ago. I'm sure the lads at NASA, and thousands other universites and meteorologists, would be gutted by your rapier-sharp arguments.
