I've done a lot of reno and extension work on my little home too. blue asbestos in the bathroom walls. nasty stuff that releases fibres as soon as its hit with a hammer. after having solid instruction from my builder I donned a maggot suit and mask and dealt with the crap. expensive alright and messy. the fibres difficult to wet down with a hand spray. now I've got the old bathroom shut off till we can afford to get my builder back in to help me bung in the new walls. (I'm not an accurate measurer or cutter of wall sheets)

the cost drives the motivation to do as much myself as I can properly manage. and then I go further than I should imo.

a negative pressure tent would be a good job.
