Yes, all these forays into what are mildly tangentially-related businesses has a bit of a "Look over there!" feel about it.
Also, listening to the call, it occurred to me that all these disparate business avenues the business now has aren't all on the same internal management information system, so investment is going to need to be made into systems enhancements.
Related to this, it also sounds like customer servicing capability is not at a level it needs to be, so watch for cost-to-serve increasing as well.
I think this disappointing result bears some witness to this, and explains the increasing cost dynamic.
But there's clearly still more of this cost investment to come, and if Revenue growth disappoints at the same time, it is going to make for more crummy-looking P&Ls in the near future.
