"Asked whether Glencore would consider shutting mines or cutting jobs in Australian zinc, Mr Nagle said he would keep the faith.
“We have seen some very good signs of growth in zinc, Chinese demand is looking very strong, we have seen production curtailments across the world, we have seen a number of mines shut,” he said. “We actually think the zinc market looks a little bit more on the positive side, we have no plans as a result of current economic conditions to curtail operations in Australia.”
