Think AIM-54 was gotten rid because of old age, and the fact that from memory only 1 in 6 or 7 missiles would have failed on launch if used. They were mainly used for taking down Russian long range bombers by the F-14's primarily as a fleet defence role.
Surprised they are using the Sidewinders. Their range is even less than the AMRAAM isn't it? Hmmm.
Anyway since we are the end of the quarter for QHL it means in 3 days we should be in the 'quarter' that the company making contract is signed. Bring that on!
