    Im keenly aware that there are mostly Free Marketers on these threads
    but in 2015 Xi nominated 10 industries deserving Government support
    in order to consolidate China's position as "factory of the world.

    Automobiles featured prominently in that "Made in China 2025" and we are
    now seeing the outcome:
