M&A is going to be absolutely turbo charged now in the Paterson. Not surprising that Newmont are going to divest in Telfer and Havieron. These big companies are run by accountants (bean counters)and geologist have no input into the decisions. They would have looked at the liabilites of decommissioning Telfer, maybe $250,000 ++, and the future profits of the likes of Greatland gold with Havieron and Antipa with Minyari Dome. Im sure the CEO of Newmont knows the amazing potential of the Paterson but who can defeat the Bean Counters.
