Erik .... You have put your finger on a good point. Overpriced EVs.
Is anyone capable of making a cheap EV that the majority can afford?
Apart from the threat of jail time who can be forced to buy anything that is "overpriced" ?
By "not-overpriced" I mean any affordable price that the majority in the world can pay.
Expecting the world's economic underclass to buy a luxury product
is a pipe dream that will not happen.
The middle class is being squeezed by house prices and rents.
There's just so much juice in the economic lemon.
Capitalists could easiy fail to capitalise this genuine EV opportunity.
Cheap with inbuilt obscolescence is not cheap.
Expensive and unaffordable is not a safe marketplace.
Quallity at a reasonable cost is not popular in boardrooms.
There's many a slip between the cup and buyer lips.
Society is already on a downward slide.
"Overpriced" is for a growing minority of unwilling wage slaves.
Solve that and you may sell more EVs.
Bike tracks and pedal power for the masses could be the
answer when the chickens of luxury living come home to roost.
Currently we are too busy building a financial house of cards.
Economic collapse is inevitable in a world of hysterical
expenditures on pop singers and professional sport.
(Refer :- "The Fall of the Roman Empire")
Billions wasted on things that don't matter.
Consumer escapism is not a good environment for unaffordable EVs.
There's a limit to how much advertising and coercion can squeeze from people.
Perhaps a loan scheme like university HECS for affordable EVs could work.Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the song of angry men?
It is the music of the people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes! Will you join in our crusade?
Who will be strong and stand with me?
Beyond the barricade
Is there a world you long to see? Then join in the fight
That will give you the right to be free!Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the song of angry men?
It is the music of the people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes! Will you give all you can give
So that our banner may advance?
Some will fall and some will live
Will you stand up and take your chance?
The blood of the martyrs
Will water the meadows of France!Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the song of angry men?
It is the music of the people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes
Believe it or not ... I believe in PLS and affordable quality EVs
Affordable to a productive majority
Not an unproductive minority.
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing the song of angry men?
It is the music of the people
Who will not be slaves again!
I am currently seriously looking at buying a lithium powered bicycle
