dividend notification statement

    Hi, all.

    Is this legitimate ?

Recently I received a dividend notification statement from "Link Market Services" via email, on behalf of Telstra, saying that the dividend share advice is available from the share registrar.

However, my security software is warning me that this email may be a scam.
It is asking me for my bank banking details and a few other details so as to proceed with the dividend payment into my account.

The bizarre thing is that, when I bought TLS shares a couple of month ago, I had already giving those details online to Link Market Services.
Why are they asking again ?
Has anyone else received the same email ?
Should I ring them on the phone to find what is going on ??

Here is a quote from the email :
"We need your direct credit instructions to facilitate your payment
Please provide your bank details online by clicking on the link(s) below (each link represents a separate shareholding), and entering the postcode (Australian address) or country code (overseas address) relevant to each shareholding. If you are an Individual Shareholder you may update your payment instructions by clicking "Add Direct Credit Instructions", entering your BSB, Account Number and Account Name and pressing "OK". If you are a Joint or Company holding, click on the icon to download, print and complete the "Request for Direct Credit of Payments" form and return it to the Telstra Share Registry address on the form.

Following the processing of your details, you will receive your dividend(s) in your nominated account within 7 to 14 days. "

    END QUOTE.
