ive never really understood this to be honest. To me an $800m mcap company with 8 billion shares and an $800m mcap company with 800 million shares would still have the same dollar value traded?
e.g. someone selling $1000 of stock would still be selling $1000 of stock regardless of the SOI, it'd just be an extra 0 behind the number of shares they're selling?
Does that really indicate extra supply, I mean I wouldn't sell any extra $ amount of shares just because I know the SOI is larger.
