im with CommSec and if you trade enough consistently like 200k worth say. They do explain what’s required I think. Then you can into the commsec one club and this is where the sophisticated investor hangs out and you get the drop on all these deals first.

I’ve even traded cochlea when they were about 40 back then. They had good price spreads an I had a couple of thousand of them. I remember there was a big shake out when china tried to enter the market.

They are ones I really regret selling all because I listened to banter on here

I use forums for sentiment and I compare it to what’s happening during trading. It’s really nuanced and extremely hard at times.

As i said I gained a lot from using IRESS years Ago as if you get to the club you get for free for the year.

the trouble with just using the bank platform is your trading data is used by the platform. They see your bid or sell and they manipulate the rank ie move you up and down to suit want they want

eg broker has a sell order for 1m shares and I want to sell mine. I will always go behind that order. If I want to buy they will manipulate me to the top.

retail are just fodder to be manipulated

i never leave an order waiting to be filled unless im confident it moving in the direction i want ie momentum.
