Unfortunately, Albo, a nice person, is not controlling.
Ministers are running wild in every direction''
One doesn't have to be 'controlling' to be a good leader - in fact, I can't recall ever seeing a good leader who was controlling.
from what I see of Albanese - he's got some hard lines which he will only cross if he absolutely has to - he made no secret of the fact that when in government he did not want his government to do more than they said - to stick to what they said wherever possible
now that can only ever be a guiding principle - because 'life and shit, happens' --- so, when you get things changed - then, you really have to change and not stubbornly stick with what you promised prior
personally I think we'll probably see several years more of Albanese as PM - and make no mistake, the next say - 4 to 5 years will be big years for Oz - as they will be for anywhere on the planet - times are changing and they are changing very very rapidly and they are going to change even faster in the future
AI alone will reshape society within a decade - it will wiggle it's way into almost all corners of life with massive disruption --
I'd trust more to have a Labor government in charge of a major period of change than I would the dutto duds - who we know exactly what they would do ----------- nuttin where possible and reap for their business mates wherever they could
at least Labor would try
we shall see - IMO, the next 2 decades will see society looking vastly different to what we all recognise now - and it's to be hoped that somewhere in the world there are some brains that come up with some ideas that make our rapidly changing era -------- reasonably comfortable
